Thank you for your interest in working with Deaf Services of Palo Alto (DSPA).
DSPA’s team of highly skilled interpreters is continuously growing. We are always looking for reliable community interpreters who take satisfaction in providing the highest levels of accessibility while building meaningful relationships with their consumers, all with amazing customer service. Our interpreters have a passion for tech and appreciate working with an agency that values both the interpreter and the Deaf consumer.
As part of our effort to consistently provide high-quality, ethical, sign language interpreting services, DSPA endorses the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct. DSPA is committed to serving the diverse needs of Deaf consumers, and we endeavor to work with other professionals who adhere to the Code of Conduct.
At this time, we do not require RID or BEI certification. If an interpreter is not yet certified, we rely on a screening process to help determine how an interpreter might best fit into our team.
Currently, we only contract with freelance interpreters, which offers interpreters the most flexibility to set their own schedule. To begin the onboarding process with DSPA, email a copy of your resume and letter of interest to jobs@dspa.org. If we feel you are a good fit for our team, our onboarding specialist will set up a screening. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. We look forward to hearing from you.
We may not always be hiring, but we are always interested in connecting with individuals who are inspired by our mission and who align with our values. If that is you, please feel free to send your resume to jobs@dspa.org.
